Fall 2019 Conference

September 24-26, 2019

Skelton Conference Center

Blacksburg, VA

The 2019 PIWG Fall Conference will be held at the Skelton Conference Center on the grounds of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. This conference is open to both US and international participants.

The conference will cover three days of activities:

Tuesday, September 24 1-5 PM ELEHM Meeting - Team Members Only
Wednesday, September 25 8 AM - 5 PM Technical presentations and tours
Thursday, September 26 8 AM - 12 PM Technical presentations and tours

There will also be optional group dinners on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at local restaurants TBD.

There is a block of rooms reserved at Hyatt Place for Tuesday and Wednesday nights at $149. The hotel is supposedly a short walk from the conference center. The hotel block closes on August 24. If any rooms are available, they will be significantly higher in price. This is a VERY busy college town and hotels are filling up quickly. Make your reservations before August 24 at the Hyatt Place Hotel.


Technical presentations for the Fall 2019 meeting are now being solicited. Presentations of interest include all facets of gas turbine sensors, instrumentation, test, and development and technologies that can enable new high temperature sensing and measurement capabilities. This forum is presentation only, no papers required. The technical program will include a diverse range of topics relating to gas turbine sensors, test methods, emerging sensor technologies and related applications relevant to gas turbine test and validation.

This is an open and unrestricted international technical conference, open to both PIWG and non-PIWG members. To register or to find out more information about the conference and PIWG, please visit the PIWG website at www.piwg.org.
